Overnight Trips

Book one of our overnight Vancouver Island sailing packages, to Salt Spring or Pender Island (or both). We’ll explore local waterways, watch ocean wildlife and, if desired, go crabbing or fishing. There are snacks of gourmet West Coast specialties such as smoked salmon and Salt Spring Island goat cheese as we sail off the East coast of Vancouver Island. This coast is renowned for it's clement conditions, scenery and safe passages.

Gilligan's Island Package

Enjoy a ~ 3 hours sailing tour with your host which includes an introduction to sailing, viewing wildlife, fishing and crabbing. Unlike the TV series, we will not leave you marooned on a remote and uncharted island.

$175/ PP + GST (6 person maximum)

Saltspring Island Package

Explore the unique beauty of the Gulf Islands, to the east of Vancouver Island, on The Salt Spring Island sailing tour. You will learn about sailing aboard 37 foot C&C Desiderata, skippered by your CYA certified skipper Darren Tomlin, as you relax and unwind with the wind in your face on our 4 hour sailing cruise to this idyllic island. Leaving Sidney midday we'll sail across the straits and enjoy the included lunch as we sail.

Reaching Salt Spring Island, we'll moor at the town of Ganges where you can visit the famous Salt Spring farmers’ market (Saturdays only), go shopping and absorb the unique island culture. Ganges has great restaurants where you can enjoy your dinner (dinner cost not included). Then stroll back to the boat for a cosy, restful sleep.

After your night's sleep, you'll enjoy breakfast on board prepared by chef Darren before sailing home to Sidney by 11 AM. Contact us about an extra day sailing @ $99 pp.

Salt Spring Island Sailing Package rates are $375 per person, excl tax. Four person minimum. Ask us about the family rate.

This package includes:

• Day One: An introduction to sailing - approx. 3 hrs (GPS/chart plotter, knot tying, raising a sail, rules of the waterways, chart reading, basic sailing instructions)
• Sail to Salt Spring Island includes onboard lunch
• One night's accommodation on Desiderata
• Day Two: Onboard breakfast including West Coast specialties
• Return sail to Sidney arriving 11am - approx. 3 hrs (GPS/chart plotter, knot tying, raising a sail, rules of the waterways, chart reading, basic sailing instructions)
• Fishing and crabbing if desired.

Pender Island Package

The Pender Island sailing package begins when you cast off from Port Sidney Marina to start your adventure, great for couples or families.

You’ll have an introduction to sailing basics including safety, raising a sail, navigation and tides. At the same time there will be wonderful sailing 3 hours each way with wildlife viewing in a beautiful setting. The package distinguishes itself with an overnight stay adjacent to the 5-star oceanside resort Poet's Cove; a delightfully tranquil setting. Included is the use of the hot tubs and swimming pools or you can hike this beautiful place. Enjoy dining (dinner cost not included) at the pub, with a great view of the local marina are all part of the Pender Island experience.

For these sailing trips, while you are away luggage storage is available along with free parking at Corbett House. Free shuttle service to Victoria International Airport or BC Ferries is also available.
